EDGCUMBE kept alive their hopes of being involved in the promotion running with a win at Camelford in their first match since January.

Camelford took the lead when Steve Latham let fly from the edge of the penalty area with a strike that took a deflection on its way into the net.

Edgcumbe eventually found their touch and levelled before the break when Shaun Jones powered a 30-yard effort into the top corner.

It was mostly Edgcumbe after the interval. Brett Shannon was outstanding for the visitors, scoring a couple of goals and playing a part in the other two, scored by Danny Medlin and Chris Green.

Edgcumbe now turn their attention to the Supplementary Cup with a first round visit to St Stephen.
