Care home director to cycle for charity
The director of a family-run group of residential care homes is getting on his bike on Sunday to raise money for St Luke's Hospice in Plymouth.
Ralphe Stone of Stonehaven Care Group is riding the 35-mile course on the "Tour de Moor" and he hopes to raise £750 for the hospice.
He said: "As one in five people in the Westcountry will develop a terminal illness it is inevitable that all staff at Stonehaven are particulary aware of palliative medicine and end-of-life care.
We are fortunate in having St Luke's Hospice to advise and care for those of our residents who need such help."
