Three carers charged with abuse at day centre in Penzance
Three carers were yesterday charged with abusing vulnerable adults at a day care centre in Cornwall.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that two men and a woman had been charged after they answered bail.

The charges follow a 15-month investigation by detectives into allegations of abuse at the John Daniel Centre in Penzance.
Benjamin Alan Jenkins, 22, from St Ives, faces two counts of a "carer ill-treating and wilfully neglecting a person without capacity contrary, to the Mental Capacity Act 2005".

Philip Anthony John Sowden, 59, from Penzance, also faces two charges while 57-year-old Christine Maureen Keller, from Hayle, has been charged with one count.
The offences are alleged to have happened at the centre from April 2007 to December 2011. All have been bailed to appear before magistrates at Truro, on February 21.
Two others – a man and woman – have been released from police bail and no further action will be taken.
The Western Morning News revealed in November 2011 that staff had been suspended following a complaint.
In October, Cornwall Council said ten staff members had been cleared by a disciplinary inquiry and were returning to work.
