Celtic music celebrated at 5-day festival in Perranporth
Hundreds turned out for the annual five day Lowender Peran Celtic Festival in Perranporth which opened on Wednesday and ends tonight.
Events staged mainly at Ponsmere Hotel include music concerts, ceilidhs, workshops, sessions, singing, Welsh clog dancing, Cornish storytelling, poetry, film and a large Celtic craft market.
Lowender Peran celebrates Cornwall's distinctive heritage of traditional music, dance, songs, story telling and the county's links with Brittany, Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland and Wales.
Bands taking part included the Barefoot Quartet, Dawns a Sbri, Eien, Fiona Dalgetty and Fèis Rois, Imokilly Dancers, Rachel Hair, Ryan Jones, Emily Howard, Andrew Bate, Kezia, Richard Trethewey, Camborne Town Band, Bolingey Troyl Band, Bagas Crowd, Perraners, The Celtic Fiddlers, Kescana, Caracana, Tredanek, The Brim Turkey Rhubarb Band, Penzance Guize Dancers, and Tir Ha Tavas.
