Championships a big hit once again
WITH 50 schools represented on the day the 10th annual Coose Trannack Cross Country championships, near Helston, proved to be a hit once again.
Paul Wiltshire, the main organiser was, though, a little disappointed that the number of entrants, from across the county, fell slightly this year.

This was due to changes in staff at some of the schools which had perhaps, he believed, led to invitations going astray.
Even so, it still proved a big hit with parents and children.
Pupils from Trannack School, where the event was based, their parents, friends and former pupils all helped behind the scenes.
In fact, about 40 people helped with car parking, registration, refreshments and catering: "We had quite a lot of help from local people. It was nice to see the local community getting together," said Mr Wiltshire, who also promised changes would be looked at for next year to attract more competitors.
