Chance to have a say
OVER the next three months, everyone in the St Ives parish will get the chance to have their say on how the town should develop over the next few years.
Volunteers will be attending meetings, events and running roadshows to hear residents' views about what is happening now and how people would like to see things change in the future.
A survey will be sent to every residential address in the area later this month which Ric Walker, spokesman for the Neighbourhood Plan Group, said would be "a very important resource in understanding what everybody wants".
After careful analysis of the results, and checking for legality, a draft of a Neighbourhood Plan will be made public and, after further consultation, the public will be asked to vote in a referendum to finally approve the plan.

Mr Walker added: "Representatives will be on the road talking to and hearing from people living and working in the St Ives parish area.
"It'll give people a real opportunity to make policy that developers and officials will be obliged to follow.
"One of the best things about a Neighbourhood Plan is that it's community-led and the process is open to anyone in the area to get involved."
