Charity auction for couples looking for dream wedding
CASH-STRAPPED couples wishing to tie the knot next year are being invited to bid for their dream wedding during a charity auction for Ella's Memory.
The auction, which includes lots from more than 15 firms, is being launched today by Sarah Gillett, who runs the wedding planning firm Perfect Preparation. It includes a photographer valued at £800, wedding cake, car, flowers, hairdressing services, and even a tipi tent venue for those wanting an alternative site to say their vows.
"Thanks to the generosity of local firms we have been able to pull together an amazing wedding package open to any Cornish couple wanting to marry next year, and it's all for a good cause," said Mrs Gillett.
Martyn and Emmillie Selley, who launched Ella's Memory last December after losing their second child, have raised more than £15,000 to overhaul the Royal Cornwall Hospital's Daisy Suite, which helps grieving parents come to terms with their loss.
The auction closes on December 13, with the winners being announced in the West Briton the following Thursday, December 16.
The winning entry will be judged on three elements – the bid offered, the availability of dates and a short explanation outlining what the wedding package means to each couple.
Entry forms can be accessed via the Ella's Memory logo at www.thisiscornwall.co.uk which will link to the Perfect Preparation site where full details of the wedding package on offer, plus terms and conditions, can be found. For further details visit www.perfect- preparation.co.uk
