Chartered accountant denies fraud charges
A chartered accountant has appeared in court accused of defrauding clients out of more than £200,000. David Malcolm Pennington, 68, faces 16 counts of fraud.
At an earlier court hearing, Mr Pennington, of Bolingey, Perranporth, pleaded not guilty to 15 charges. Yesterday he appeared at Truro Magistrates Court, where a further charge of fraud involving £62,775 was put to him. He pleaded not guilty to the charge relating between April 2007 and December 2009. The case was committed to Truro Crown Court on April 5 and Mr Pennington was released on bail.
