Chef Hugh backs town's hub project
Hundreds of people yesterday joined celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall for a "big picture" opportunity as the campaign to make an old dairy into a community hub gathered pace.
Mr Fearnley-Whittingstall, who is based at Axminster in East Devon, has become the fifth high-profile patron of the Atmos Totnes project.

He said: "This is fantastic, to come down here this morning and see the crowd and see the amazing potential of this site is so great.
"Totnes has already done so much, set such a blazing trail for those who are interested in finding new heart in their community, a new heart that's committed to a better way of living, and a more sustainable way of living, and if we could pull this project off, it would just be a brilliant example for the rest of Britain of what's possible at a community level."
