Chestney cannot last course in Adelaide
BOWLS: While Natalie Melmore has to wait until Friday before taking on Australia's Karen Murphy or South Africa's Tracy-Lee Botha in the semi-finals of the women's World Outdoor Singles Championship, her Torquay Kings club-mate Jamie Chestney was in action in Adelaide yesterday. With Wiltshire's Graham Shadwell at lead, the 26-year-old hit top form in the quarter-finals of the men's pairs, demolishing Wales' Jason Greenslade and Robert Weale 24-9. Returning to the fast green for the afternoon semi final-after lunch, the England duo racing into a 9-4 lead against world indoor champions Paul Foster and Alex Marshall, from Scotland, who hit back well to win 13-12 and reach tomorrow's final.
