EAST CORNWALL Bach Choir is to hold a singing workshop and performance in Liskeard covering Handel's Messiah.

The group will run the workshop from 11am to 5.30pm on Saturday, March 3, at Liskeard Methodist Church, followed by a public performance at 7pm.

Choir member Nigel Cooper said it was a big undertaking for a single day, but singers would focus on particular parts.

"Most of those singing in the chorus will already be familiar with some, much, or even all of the music," he said.

Taking part costs £12 for adults and £8 for students. Music hire is £1 if required.

Tickets to watch the performance will be £5 on the door.
