City have a week to find a buyer
TRURO City have until next Thursday to find a buyer after players and staff agreed to remain at the financially troubled club following a meeting with administrators late on Tuesday evening.
There were fears that Tuesday night's game with Bath City would be Truro's last, but following talks after the game, the club now have until October 11 to find an investor, with City's debts, player-manager Lee Hodges revealed, in the region of £190,000.
Hodges said: "I feel that bit more confident after the meeting if only for the fact that they said the debts are 'only' £190,000, which is a lot less than the previous figures mentioned, and even this could be negotiated down to a much smaller sum. But as I read it, the basic situation remains unchanged."
Former City boss Steve Massey had confirmed his interest in buying the club last week, but he revealed yesterday that talks with potential backers to help with the takeover had broken down.
