HOSPICE HELP: Wadebridge Rotary Club has donated £6,000 to Cornwall Hospice Care. The money came from the club's recent Wheels 2012 classic vehicle show at the Royal Cornwall Showground and president Ken Metcalfe, undertook to contribute around 50 per cent of the net profit to the charity. Mr Metcalfe presented the cheque on behalf of the club to Cornwall Hospice Care's Tamsyn Cocks and Hazel Rowe. Ms Cocks thanked Rotarians for their generous donation. She said: "With our two sites at Mount Edgcumbe in St Austell and St Julia's in Hayle we provide around 6,500 bed days in a year. Just 13 per cent of our income comes from Government so we have to find around £6.75m through donations.'' Pictured are, from left, Helen Rowe, president Ken Metcalfe and Tamsyn Cocks.
