Postcards to pass on a litter-free message
A PROJECT that aims to reduce litter in Cornwall can spread its message thanks to a local printing company.
The Clean Cornwall partnership between local businesses, community groups and public sector organisations has been helped by St Austell Printing Company, which has sponsored the production of 1,000 promotional postcards.
Clean Cornwall's project officer Lara Hill said: "Clean Cornwall has a network of volunteers who are all committed to making Cornwall litter-free, but we were in real need of something with information on for them to give out.
"The postcards are perfect for that; as well as raising the profile they have been designed as an actual postcard so people can send the message on to their friends, family and colleagues."
Managing director Peter Moody, of St Austell Printing Company, which recently completed the £6.2 million development of the St Austell Business Park at Carclaze, said: "The print industry is one of the most sustainable in the world, and it is an issue that is important to us.
"Having a sustainable building and using practices to reduce energy usage and waste is great, but having a clean and litter-free county is just as important.
"It's fantastic to see an organisation like Clean Cornwall taking the lead and why we are happy to support them."
