THE long serving chairman of Cornwall County Cricket Club, Col Ronnie Potts, will not be seeking re-election at the agm in March.

He informed a recent general committee meeting of his decision and proposed Michael Williams of Werrington Park to succeed him. The proposal was seconded by several members.

A proposal from former treasurer, Douglas Nance, that Col Potts be nominated for the post of president was received unanimously. It was understood that Canon Ken Rogers had intimated he might not be seeking re-election.
