The popular Dance, Dance, Dance, which brings together different cultures to perform, returns to the University of Plymouth this weekend. Integration Through Culture is staging the event for the sixth year running.

The programme has exciting and colourful dances for every taste, including Salsa, Morris Men, Bollywood, Belly Dancing, Street Dancing and more, and the event has the support of Devon and Cornwall Police, Peninsula Arts, Plymouth Dance, Plymouth University and the South Asian Society.

The City of Plymouth has a wide variety of residents from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and through the media of dance, social bonds can be formed and racial harmony improved, according to the organisers.

The performances – tomorrow and Sunday at 7pm – will also raise funds for Plymouth and Cornwall Cancer Fund.

Argentina's finest and most significant tango vocalist, Martín Alvarado, will perform in Devon for the first time as part of his 24th international tour. For his performance, at the Steiner School in Dartington near Totnes, on Good Friday, March 29, he will be joined by an outstanding pianist and bandoneonista from Finland, Mikko Helenius.

Alvarado said: "I am so happy to be coming to Devon for the first time. I love having Mikko with me when I sing because he is a great musician and has written some beautiful new arrangements. We also have a lot of fun on stage together."

The event will include a tango social dance, called a Milonga, from 5pm to 8pm and will kick off at 4pm with a free taster class for those who would like to give tango a go for the first time. Tickets for the 8pm concert are £12 on the door, or £10 in advance from www.musicglue.com/ltangopromotions.
