Colourful show from hip new comedy gunslinger Rob Auton at The Ritz, Penzance
SILLY BOYS present funny man Rob Auton's 2012 Edinburgh Fringe hit, The Yellow Show, in Penzance for one night only on Saturday, April 27, at The Ritz from 8pm. A founding member of Bang Said The Gun (London's most popular spoken word night), The Yellow Show is all about Rob Auton's love for the colour yellow; a mixture of surreal sketches, great jokes and tender poetry, from someone described by Paddy Considine as "a very funny man".
The show was a sleeper hit at Edinburgh Fringe last year, receiving 5 star reviews from Broadway Baby and Spoonfed, with The Scotsman saying: "A strange and magical experience. You will carry the memory with you for a very long time."
This follows on from Rob's recent appearance on Channel 4's Random Acts and the viral success of short film The Peamaster, in which he stars and has garnered praise from famous fans such as Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman and Gary Lineker. Support on the night will come from Silly Boys' very own Seamas Carey and Callum Mitchell aka Underdog, providing an anarchic mix of poetry, music, comedy and lots of bickering. The duo returned with a sell out show on Valentine's Day and will be performing lots of new material and generally making idiots of themselves on stage for the benefit of the audience. Tickets £5 available from The Lost & Found & Steckfensters. Chapel St, Penzance. For more information, visit www.sillyboys.co.uk
