Conquering voices at B-Side, Bunters Bar, Truro
LOVERS of the hit BBC show The Voice will be pleased to hear that quarter finalist from 'team Tom Jones' Adam Isaac is set to play a headline show at B-Side, Bunters Bar, Truro, Truro tomorrow featuring support from Ruarri Joseph's new band William The Conqueror, Michael Cassidy and October.
Singer-songwriter Adam Isaac, pictured below, has over ten years of experience as a gigging musician and built a strong South West following in his earlier years. He has played many venues and festivals around the UK, supported Joss Stone on her UK tour in 2009, has been named brand ambassador for British freesports brand Animal and in 2012 made it to the quarter final stages of BBC's The Voice UK.
Following his recent national exposure he is set to release an album and tour the original material with his full band. His anthemic, edgy rock/pop sound draws influence from bands such as Muse, Coldplay, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Blur, Oasis, Stereophonics and more.
He said: "For me, music is all about sharing energy with an audience; not being pretty around the edges, but going out there and capturing a moment with other people."

Energy is the operative word. Laid-back and seemingly shy offstage, when it comes to performing, Adam explodes with a vehemence and intent that is hard to avoid being swept up within. Whether alone with a guitar and a stomp box or accompanied by a band, his rhythm-led playing and soaring vocals envelop his audience, creating a shared revelry between crowd and performer.
Support on the night comes from the much-anticipated William the Conqueror, pictured above, a new band and side project of the extemely popular Ruarri Joseph. William the Conqueror are three passionate musicians – Joseph alongside Harry Harding and Naomi Holmes. The band is what happens when you do what you love for a living but work so hard to make that living that you start to resent it. It's an outlet for all the ideas that never get the space to blossom because needs must.
Also on the bill will be Scottish singer-songwriter Michael Cassidy, whose music is best described as alternative folk with an emphasis on melody. Michael cites a great variety of influences ranging from folk heavyweights such as Richard Thompson o more contemporary acts such as Rufus Wainwright.
Opening the show will be local singer-songwriter October.
