Cornish Pirates bring in Kyle Moyle
Cornish Pirates have moved to solve their fly-half shortage by signing St Ives youngster Kyle Moyle.
The Cornwall Under-20 player can play at full-back or fly-half and is an accomplished goalkicker.
Pirates were facing the prospect of fielding a team without a recognised ten after Keiron Hallett left the field with a calf injury in their Championship match against Nottingham.
However, Hallett recovered well in the subsequent seven days to play a full 80 minutes in Sunday's British and Irish Cup win over Swansea.

Pirates were known to be searching for an additional fly-half. Aaron Penberthy will be out for the next two months while he recovers from a groin problem, while Jonny Bentley has a long-term Achilles tendon injury.
Pirates are top of their British & Irish Cup group but are sixth in the Championship, trailing resurgent Bristol by three points.
Head coach Ian Davies is delighted to give former Cornish All Black and Pirates Amateur Moyle his opportunity.
He said: "Kyle has been training with us for the last three weeks and has impressed not only with his work ethic but also his willingness to learn.
"He has obviously got natural talent and the aim now is for us to develop his conditioning and rugby know-how to a level where he can challenge for a shirt.
"Kyle is another local player who, in co-operation with their club, is being given the opportunity to experience professional rugby."
Hallett insists he is now fully fit but admitted being the only fit Pirates player in his position was difficult.
"It is tough being the last man standing," he said. "Aaron has been very unlucky with his injury.
"I just have to manage the workload a little bit. It is just a case of keeping my head down and cracking on.
"It was a stamp on my calf and it gave me a dead leg against Nottingham. It was so cold that it just seized up but I was never going to be a doubt for the Swansea game."
Pirates beat the Welsh Premiership side Swansea 27-9 at Mennaye Field but failed to win a four-try bonus point during their Pool Three encounter.
