Cornish Pirates make five changes for Moseley match
Cornish Pirates head coach Ian Davies makes five changes plus two positional swaps in his starting line-up for the Championship clash with Moseley at the Mennaye Field on Friday night (7.45pm), writes Dick Straughan.
In the backs Mike Pope makes his first Championship start for the club along with Australian fly-half Angus Sinclair.
Pope, who is dual-registered with Exeter Chiefs, is a scrum-half by trade but can cover a variety of positions and comes in for James Tincknell who has a slight hamstring strain. Sinclair gets the nod over Kieran Hallett at ten with the former Ireland Under-21 international dropping to the bench.
In the pack Aaron Carpenter switches from hooker to No8 with Tom Channon taking his place in the front row. Laurie McGlone switches from the back row to lock with both James Sandford and Gary Johnson ruled out through injury.
