Penzance and the Cornish Pirates are well represented in the England Under-20 rugby squad who travel to north Wales on Friday  night knowing that victory in their final Six Nations game against the Welsh will retain their title crown, writes Dick Straughan.

Jack Nowell and Luke Cowan-Dickie were both instrumental in the England side which beat Italy 52-7 at Franklin`s Gardens, Northampton last week and are expected to feature again against Wales.

Nowell, who is currently dual-registered with the Pirates and has scored two tries in four appearances for the club this season, has excelled since breaking into the Exeter Chiefs first team and scored his first two tries for the Under-20`s as they routed Italy.

Hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie also produced a stand-out performance in the England front row earning the Sky Sports man of the match award.

He said: "I made the move to hooker this season, the first game I played there against Ireland and I didn't think I had done so well but I think things got better in this game.

"We started playing better against France and we put in another good performance here and hopefully we can produce another good performance against Wales, and hopefully become champions.

There was also a try from centre Sam Hill who is also dual-registered with the Pirates and new loan signing from Bath, Ollie Devoto, completed the 80 minutes at full-back.
