Matt Cotton returns to rallying after a 2 year lay off..
"I had to stop rallying after 2009 as it was getting too expensive, which was disheartening after I had such great results" says Matt. "But I just couldn't keep away any longer, and I have bought a new car to see if i can get back to winning ways again!".
Matt has purchased a new Fiesta ST rally car to contest the series which starts on 24th February 2012 with the Sunseeker Rally in Bournemouth. It will pose a unique challenge to the rapid Cornish driver; "The Fiesta is left hand drive because you need to learn to drive those cars if you are to progress into the World Championship. Its totally new to me driving on that side, so I have lots of testing planned before the start of the season to get match fit - its exciting stuff!".
The BRC will take some 50 crews to all corners of the UK. They include the super fast tarmacadam roads of Scotland, the slippery gravel surface in the forests of Mid Wales and the tight and twisty roads of Northern Ireland. Matt is no stranger to the events, having successfully competed in the BRC in 08 he knows what to expect from the year that lies ahead and he is looking forward to competing against some of the worlds best driving talents.
Matt is seeking sponsorship for the season to enable him to contest every round of the championship and has devised a portfolio for clients that are interested in becoming a partner of the team.
