TRURO artist Daryl Waller, aka Swifty, has designed the sleeve for the new album by Lou Barlow, best known for his work in such glorious American bands as Dinosaur Jr, Sebadoh and Folk Implosion.

As well as designing the cover for Goodnight Unknown, which is released on the Domino label, Daryl has also directed the video for the track, Sharing, from the album.

Daryl, whose naive, unsettling yet humorous work can be viewed at winterdrawings.com, told What's On: "I've been into Lou's stuff since I was 14 – his 1990 album Weed Forestin' is probably the most important influence on me becoming an artist, so this has been an honour for me.

"I got to know him since this solo EMOH tour and worked on four videos for the re-release of Weed Forestin', which Domino Records have on a back-burner... so, in the meantime we collaborated on Goodnight Unknown, which has been amazing to say the least.

"Going back in time to show my 14-year-old self would be pretty interesting."
