Cornish firms will benefit from £2.5m skills scheme
Businesses in Cornwall are set to benefit from a £2.5 million investment in developing skills to gain maximum benefit from hi-speed broadband.
Peninsula Broadband will deliver the scheme in partnership with Superfast Cornwall and the University of Exeter.
The programme has been funded from the European Regional Development Fund as part of Convergence investment in the Duchy.
The £132 million infrastructure roll out has now passed the half way mark. Upgrading the skills of businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly has long been seen as a key part of the superfast broadband initiative so that businesses can get the maximum benefit from their technology.

“It's not that faster broadband is a bad thing, but to view it as "transformational" is just wishful thinking. Does anyone know what Penisular Broadband/Superfast Cornwall/ExeterUni will actually be doing? The article offers no clue.”
