You Cornish... or no?
Princess Pavilion, Falmouth, tonight
Cornwall's favourite funnyman brings his tour to the venue where his dad used to be a doorman tonight, continuing his humorous autumnal romp right around his homeland and beyond.
In this new show, Splann! King (aka Falmouth bey Edward Rowe) ponders upon all the little things in daily life including, in his own words 'writing rubbish on Facebook, phoning the missus, talking to a customer adviser in India, face timin' the phone number on the back of some bog's door or learning to drive'. And that's just for starters.
Mostly, the tall, bearded, affable and down-to-earth tongue-in-cheek stand-up champion of the county and the pasty, concerns himself with a weighty question that has bothered Kernow folk from time immemorial: how Cornish is Cornish? Is it enough to feel we belong, or do we need to produce a five-generation family tree? There's a touch of blue in the air, but he hits all the sweet spots for a communal laugh. Proper job!
