Cornwall Councillor George Trubody resigns
Cornwall Councillor George Trubody has resigned from his post.
Mr Trubody, Councillor for Rame, will be stepping down at 5pm today, the council has confirmed.
A representative from Cornwall Council said the Conservative councillor is leaving to pursue a personal career opportunity, which will mean he is unable to fulfil his responsibilities as a council member.
She added: "Councillor Trubody has notified the parish councils within his electoral division of his decision and Councillor Pearn will cover his constituency responsibilities pending the unitary elections on 2 May."

“Saw him once at Election time! Probably been locked away working hard for the forgotten corner of Cornwall. Wonder how he voted(in Truro) on the Tory Councils' decision to withdraw funding for Mount Edgcumbe Country Park. Another Cornish asset to be sold off to the highest bidder?”
