Cornwall Firefighters Tackle 17 Incidents in Less Than 24 Hours
More than a dozen blazes across the county kept Cornwall's firefighters on the move on one of the warmest days of the year so far.
Crews were called out to everything from gorse fires to bonfires, including incidents being investigated as arson, throughout yesterday (Friday).
They attended 15 locations in less than 24 hours, in addition to an overturned car on the A38, Notter Bridge, Saltash and a crash between two lorries, one in which a driver was trapped, at Nantithet, Cury, near Helston. The driver was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

-5.58pm - woodburner chimney fire, Dutson Road, Launceton
-gorse fire, Rosenannon Downs, between St Columb and Wadebridge
-7.09pm - gorse fire burning on two fronts at Treslea Common, Cardinham, near Bodmin
-7.14pm - gorse fire just off A30 at Temple, Bodmin Moor
-7.32pm - chimney fire, Fore Street, Pool, near Redruth
-7.50pm - unattended bonfire close to a building at Barbican Hill, Looe
-8.08pm - fire on compost heap which spread to conservatory at Valley View, St Keyne, near Liskeard
-9.13pm - unattended bonfire in cemetery, College Street, Camborne
11.39pm - police call to bonfire on Gyllyngvase Beach, Falmouth
-12.50am (Saturday) - grass fire in garden, Pendarves Road, Penzance, suspected to be arson.
Crews from St Columb, Newquay, St Dennis, Bodmin, Wadebridge, Penzance, Launceton, Callington, Camborne, Looe, Liskeard and Falmouth were involved.
