Cornwall braced for next bout of extreme weather
CORNWALL can expect more torrential rain and gales over the weekend with winds reaching 70mph at times as the extreme weather the county is facing shows no sign of abating.
Forecasters say that today should offer relative respite with mainly dry conditions, sunny spells and occasional showers.
However winds will freshen this evening as patchy rain showers become increasingly heavy as the winds increase to strong to gale force from the south and south west.
Tomorrow will be very blustery with frequent heavy showers. Gale force winds will sweep through the county and may reach storm force strength in exposed areas.
