Cornwall claims four prizes in top tourism awards
Cornwall has been named the best UK holiday region for the fifth year in a row, in a strong showing for the county at the British Travel Awards tonight.
Other winners included the Eden Project, which won best UK leisure attraction for a third year in a row, and the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth which was named second in best UK heritage attraction.
Also successful was Looe, which claimed silver, in best UK coastal resort.
In reaction to the news, Malcolm Bell, head of Visit Cornwall, tweeted his congratulations.
