Cornwall on flood watch as thundery showers hit the Duchy
Thundery showers are expected to hit Cornwall today, marking the end of the sunniest summer in seven years.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for the region with the risk of flooding in some areas.
A spokesperson from the Met Office said: “Heavy rain, persistent in places, will affect many areas during Friday.
“The public should be aware of the risk of disruption due to localised flooding.”
