Councillor resigns
CORNWALL councillor for Rame George Trubody resigned from his post on Friday.
A representative from Cornwall Council said the Conservative councillor stepped down to pursue a career opportunity.

She added: "Councillor Trubody has notified the parish councils within his electoral division and Councillor Pearn will cover his constituency responsibilities pending the unitary elections on May 2."
There will be no by-election for the Rame electoral division.
