Cornwall's fine run in the FA County Youth Cup came to an end in Liverpool on Saturday.

The hosts started the fourth round tie well and were 2-0 in the first 15 minutes and Cornwall never recovered despite improving as the game went on.

Cornwall had a "goal" disallowed near the end of the second half and it was just after that Liverpool scored their third goal.

Cornwall Youth Team Manager, Tommy Matthews said: "They were just superior on the day. We lost it really in the first 15 minutes. Even though we got back into the match we just couldn't break through.

"We will try to improve and win next week in our game in the South and West Counties Championsip."

That's at home against Dorset on Saturday The venue and kick off time are to be announced.
