CRAFTPOINT is a friendly and fun shopping experience and opens its doors for three days only tomorrow to Sunday at the studio and gallery of Journeyman Furniture in North Quay, Hayle.

Craftpoint will be selling a range of interior products and gifts all made by local craftspeople and designers with the emphasis on contemporary living.

Craftpoint is the business idea of Carole Lomas who says: "Craftpoint is a 'pop-up' shop which will appear for short periods of time at various venues and towns throughout the year, giving customers easy access to some of the best craft that Cornwall has to offer. They will be able to pick up distinctive pieces to complement their home, for a gift or just as a personal treat from popular designers including Julie Murdoch George's pretty floral vases and jugs, jewellery by Chloe Williams made from seaglass found on our shores and Lincoln Kirby-Bell's funky, striking tableware with a strong sense of his Australian roots."

This first Craftpoint is being held in association with Journeyman Furniture of Hayle, owned by Nicholas Langan, who designs and makes fine contemporary furniture.

Nicholas added: "I'm pleased to host the first Craftpoint in my studio and gallery. We have a great mix of products including furniture, ceramics, jewellery, glass, textiles and prints. Craftpoint coincides with the Hayle Festival so there is a lot going on in Hayle over the weekend and we are looking forward to meeting locals and visitors and join in the celebrations."

Carole Lomas said: "Craftpoint aims to give customers a friendly and enjoyable shopping experience, while taking away the stress of marketing and selling for designer makers. I am always pleased to hear from landlords who may have premises to let on a temporary basis or local craftspeople who would like to sell their work."
