Fire crews from Bodmin and Lostwithiel tackled a kitchen fire at a property on Robartes Road, Bodmin, this morning.

The crews responded to a call and arrived at the mid terrace, two-storey property  at 1.30am.

One casualty was rescued by fire service personnel, who used two hosereels and four sets of breathing apparatus. Crews then proceeded to ventilate the property.

The casualty was left in the hands of the Ambulance crew.
