Customers flood back into the Co-op after store's £2m revamp
A £2 MILLION makeover has helped bring a Penzance shop into the 21st century, its manager has said.
The revamped Co-operative Food store and petrol station at Wherrytown reopened recently and is already said to be a hit with customers.

The relaunch aimed to make The Promenade shop adapt to the changing needs of its customers.
"Customers have been very positive and pleased with the shopping experience," said Perry Bullock, store manager, who added that he had welcomed more customers since the Co-op was reopened.

"I think what has impressed them the most is the state-of-the-art building.
"The experience wasn't always good with the old building but the old store has more or less been knocked down and replaced and everyone says it is a lot better.
"It has moved into the 21st century."
Pupils from Alverton County Primary School joined Mr Bullock to cut the ribbon and open the new energy-efficient shop, with the children also receiving a donation of £200 towards school funds.
Said to have a 'shopper-friendly layout' the waterfront shop also has a cash machine and 50-space car park.
"Our store and petrol station provides an important service to this local community and we are delighted that we have improved our Wherrytown site," said Mr Bullock.
