Cutting a cake for Bernard
AGE UK'S Cornwall branch celebrated ten years of supporting the elderly.
The service provides non-urgent transport for social events, doctors, dentist and hospital appointments.
This year alone 260 Age UK Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly volunteer drivers transported more than 8,000 clients, on nearly 100,000 journeys, covering two million miles.
Bernard Rees, the new Age UK Cornwall president, has also been recognised for his long service. A spokesman for the charity said that he was presented with a gift from all of his fellow trustees and staff to "mark their appreciation for all of his hard work and dedication to the charity".
