A cyclist died yesterday morning following an accident with a Land Rover on an unclassified road just outside Bodmin. Emergency services were called to the scene at just after 10am between the village of St Mabyn and the hamlet of Longstone near the town in Cornwall. Police said the male cyclist died at the scene from serious injuries. The road was closed while crash scene investigators examined the area. By 2.50pm it was reopened to traffic. Last night officers said they were still trying to trace the cyclists' next of kin to inform them of the tragedy.
