Cyclist dies in collision with Landrover

A cyclist has died after colliding with a Landrover on an unclassified road in Cornwall. 

Police were alerted to the incident on a stretch of road between St Mabyn and Longstone, near Bodmin, at 10.05am today. 

Paramedics attended but the cyclist died at the scene.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The collision involved a Landrover and a cyclist. Tragically the cyclist died at the scene from the injuries sustained in the collision.

"A full investigation is underway involving specially trained Roads Policing officers and the serious collisions unit."

The road reopened at 2.50pm.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time to ring 101 quoting reference 335 11/11/12.
