A cyclist critically injured in a collision with a van on the A30 in Cornwall has died of his injuries. The 54-year-old man, who has not been named by Devon and Cornwall Police, was airlifted to hospital with serious head and chest injuries after the crash on the eastbound carriageway, near Camborne, on Friday morning. Police said the man, who is from the Cornish town, died on Sunday afternoon. The accident, also involving a Daihatsu van, forced the police to close the A30 from Hayle to Tolvaddon for several hours. An investigation in the circumstances is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Devon and Cornwall Police on the new 101 phone line.
