David's FA Cup winners' medal up for sale
An FA Cup winners' medal won by one of Plymouth's most famous sporting sons is to go to auction with an expected guide price of between £10,000 and £15,000.
The medal, made of 15 carat gold, was won in 1930 by Plymouth raised David Jack following Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Huddersfield.
It was the third winners' medal won by the inside forward, who had the honour of becoming the first player to score at Wembley in Bolton Wanderers' 2-0 victory over West Ham United in1923.
The prolific goalscorer, who netted over 250 goals in his career for Argyle, Bolton and Arsenal, was to later see his name in the record books again when he fetched the world's first £10,000 fee.
