Mr Jervis, from Barripper, was one of eight children.

He worked at Nancekuke for 30 years, later becoming caretaker at Illogan School.

Mrs Jervis, who worked at the school as a dinner lady, was verger at St Illogan Church for 30 years.

She was also a member of the church choir.

Mr and Mrs Jervis are members of the senior citizens' dance club at Penwartha Hall and love going on holiday.
