Did you spot the meteor shower last night?
ST IVES photographer Joey Lamb was out looking for the Perseids meteor shower on Monday when he took this shot over The Island.
Although the Perseids shower is an annual event, the Royal Astronomical Society said this year would be a great year to see it and predicted up to 60 shooting stars an hour in the UK this.
They said the best display would be from late Monday evening through to early Tuesday morning.
Joey said: “I was stood up by The Island overlooking Porthmeor. The bright one on the bottom right of the picture is a meteor.”
