Dobwalls 2, Porthleven 0
A SIXTH consecutive victory was still not enough to completely satisfy Dobwalls' joint-manager Geoff Battams.
"Our performance was under par in comparison to recent games and from that point of view we were fortunate to have won," he admitted.
"Porthleven took the game to us, especially in the first half, but we happened to be the more clinical in front of goal on the day."
Stuart Dunn gave Dobwalls a 20th minute lead but Port spurned a great chance to level the scores, 15 minutes from time when Dan Stidwell hit his penalty kick over the bar.
The visitors were made to pay for that miss when Lee Caers notch Dobwalls' second five minutes from time.
"We have a week's break when we can least do with it as we follow the break with a game against St Austell which will be a test of how far we have progressed," said Battams
Man of the match: Stuart Dunn (Dobwalls).
