Dog rescued from mine shaft at Minions, Liskeard
The Fire Crew from Callington was called out on a rescue mission at Minions, Liskeard, yesterday evening where a dog had become trapped down a wet mine shaft.
The drama unfolded at around 7.55pm when the springer spaniel found itself stuck on a ledge in the shaft approximately 10ft down.
The crew managed to reach the dog using a triple extension ladder before retrieving it with rope rescue equipment and handing it back to its owner.
