Hamatethy, an historic estate of just under 550 acres, has fishing rights on the River Camel
The manor house is filled with character features and over the past 50 years the house has been extended and renovated. It now offers four generous reception rooms, several service rooms and nine bedrooms.
Situated in a private position at the end of a wooded drive, the quintessential Cornish estate boasts a grand interior as well as a variety of outbuildings.
Off the main house, there is a double courtyard of traditional granite barns with stables, tack room, kennels, dry store, workshop and piggeries. In addition there are several well maintained livestock buildings which offer potential for a range of equestrian, livestock, tourism or business uses, subject to obtaining the appropriate permissions. The estate also features two semi-detached, agriculturally tied, cottages each with three bedrooms.
The house is not without its history. Mentioned in the Domesday book, Hamatethy was once owned by Count Robert of Mortain, who fought with William at the battle of Hastings.
The North Cornwall villages of Rock and Padstow are only a short drive away.
