THE Ladock Players are bringing the drama of the Wild West to the stage with their latest panto Calamity Jane.
"Rehearsals are galloping along at a real pace with the cast in full voice and fine form, and looking forward to getting on the stage," said theatre member Vicky Marshall.
The panto tells the story of how the aunt of the sheriff of Silver Creek – Calamity Jane – arrives from England and is kidnapped by El Gwapo and his dastardly gang of Mexicans.
A posse sets out to rescue her, led by Clint Westward, Texas Ranger, and his horse Lightning, who along the way dodge the outlaws Angelina and Jolie (The Pitt Gang) and Geronimima and her band of braves.
