Donation: To help give gift of music
A NEW marching band is being formed and has been given a helping hand by freemasons in Bodmin.
Keltic Beat is the idea of Carolyn May, from Nanstallon, who is hoping young people will be keen to join and play the drums, bugle and bell lyre.

DONATION: Jeremy Bonner, worshipful master of the Beacon Lodge presents a cheque to Carolyn May and Jake Trembath.
Mrs May said she had good-quality instruments available and hoped young people aged 8 to 18 would come along and join the band's ranks, and no previous musical experience was necessary.
"The aim of Keltic Beat is to encourage young people of all abilities to meet up and learn to play instruments together," she said.

"I'm hoping the band will reach a standard that will enable it to undertake engagements to support itself financially, and also to support charity fundraising events.''
The Beacon Lodge of Freemasons has donated £150 to help the group get started.
The band will be rehearsing in Nanstallon and anyone interested in joining should contact Carolyn May on 0779 1639605.
