Drunk St Austell mum left baby home alone on New Year's Eve
A DRUNK mum was discovered out on New Year's Eve with her toddler while leaving her baby alone at home.
Police arrested a 33 year-old woman, from St Austell, after she was found wandering Clarence Street, at about 9.30pm.

When officers returned the woman to her home address they discovered a six month-old baby laying face down on the living room floor in a sodden nappy.
St Austell police inspector Stuart Gibbons said it appeared the baby had been there a while because of the condition of the nappy.

She was arrested on suspicion of cruelty to children under the age of 16 years-old. The youngsters have been taken into care.
A woman has been released on police bail while enquiries are ongoing.
