Duke of Hazzard
SIXTIES hitmaker Tony Hazzard kicks off a spring season of rich entertainment at Cornwall's unique moorland theatre, Sterts.
For winter and spring, the theatre centre on the edge of Bodmin Moor at Upton Cross, near Liskeard, heads indoors to the Studio.
On Friday, An Evening with Tony Hazzard launches 2012 with a chance to hear anecdotes and music from Tony's new album, Songs From the Lynher.
Tony, who has performed as an actor and singer many times at Sterts, wrote smash hits like Ha Ha Said The Clown and Fox On The Run for stars ranging from The Hollies to Cliff Richard, Manfred Mann to Andy Williams. His new record, available from www.tonyhazzard.com, is his first for many years and was inspired by the River Lynher running near his Cornish home.
Other highlights of Spring at Sterts will include a rare chance to catch Miracle Theatre's stunning, acclaimed production of Tin!, a visit from Shetland folk sensations Blyde Lasses (March 31) and a performance by the theatre's own Sterts Singers (March 2).
There's lots more information available on www.sterts.co.uk and the theatre can be contacted on 01579 362382.
