This is the proud moment that Sir Tim Smit, co-founder of the Eden Project, is knighted by the Prince of Wales during an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

The Dutch-born co-founder and chief executive of Cornwall's iconic tourist attraction was awarded the honour in recognition of his services to public engagement with science earlier this year. He knelt before Prince Charles in the time-honoured tradition at the ceremony yesterday.
